Antique Portieux Vallerysthal French opaline milk glass strawberry sugar bowl

Scarce, Rare. Antique Vallerysthal Portieux French opaline milk glass strawberry sugar bowl or covered dish. Figural snail handle. Opaline is a rare find in these pieces, more often seen in solid white or with heavily deteriorated painted finish.
There are multiple tiny chips or rough spots on the rim of both pieces where they meet. These are very difficult to capture in photos, I am happy to provide additional for you. There is a significant chip on the outside rim of the lid, (pic 7&8) also a crack on the inside top rim of the base meeting a sharp edge of a strawberry seed on the textured exterior. (Pic 5&6)
